B-hCG (beta-chorionic gonadotrophin) can be detected in blood stream 7 days after fertilization. A pregnancy test based on urine sample is sensitive when levels of b-hCG are above 25mlu/L. That’s why this test should be done on the first days of the delay on the menstrual period.
